Director, Data & Insights

Tara is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of EFF’s data systems. She comes to the EFF team with a strong commitment and passion to bring equitable education to all children.

Prior to joining EFF, Tara was the Manager of High School Data & Insights for KIPP Texas Public Schools where she supported data management, strategy, and storytelling for the 17 high schools in the KIPP Texas network. Her data expertise allowed the KIPP Texas academic leadership team to excel in their understanding and tracking of key academic insights that informed accountability ratings for KIPP Texas high schools. Before KIPP Texas, Tara worked at Teach For America managing recruitment strategy and also worked as a high school history teacher in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Tara has a BA in History and American Studies from UC Davis. She also holds a MS.Ed and an Ed.D in Urban Education Leadership from Johns Hopkins University. She currently lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and their two dogs, Tucker and Charlie.
