Data Analyst
Owen is a Data Analyst on EFF’s Data and Insights Team, where he helps strengthen the organization’s data systems and ensure that high-impact schools have a clear pathway to affordable facilities. He supports the intake, reporting, and analysis of academic, enrollment, and financial data—improving data quality and creating dashboards and tools that make insights more accessible for the lending, capital raising, and operations teams.
Before joining EFF, Owen served as Director of Applied Learning at OneGoal, where he led data-driven decision-making across a national nonprofit serving 4,000+ students. He designed advising tools, automated analysis workflows, and built dashboards to help program staff identify and prioritize students most at risk of not enrolling in college. Earlier in his career, he worked at College Bound in Washington, D.C., supporting mentoring partnerships that achieved a 100% college acceptance rate for participating seniors.
A Philadelphia native, Owen holds a BA in Sociology and Economics from Boston University. He is passionate about using data responsibly to advance equity in education and is particularly interested in how measures of school quality can inform more informed decisions for students. Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer, experimenting with cooking and coffee, and even tracking and analyzing his growing collection of fragrances—applying the same data-centric approach he brings to his work!
